The 2011 UEFA Champions League Final is the final football match to be played on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Webbey Stadium in London, England to decide the winner of the 2010–11 season of the UEFA Champions League, the premier European football club competition. The UEFA Champions League (usually referred to as simply the Champions League or historically as the European Cup) is an annual association football cup competition organized by UEFA since 1955 for the top football clubs in Europe. The final of the competition is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide, drawing just over 100 million television viewers. The final football match is between Spanish side Barcelona and Manchester United of England. The first time was in in the former UEFA Cup Winners (1999), Manchester won and the second in Rome (2009) which Barcelona won 2-0. Barcelona defeated rivals Real Madrid 3–1 on aggregate in the semi-finals to make it through, while Manchester United qualified after a 6–1 aggregate win over Schalke 04.
