Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2The long anticipated final installment of the Harry Potter saga will come to and end. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is the most anticipated movie of 2011. The series based on J.K. Rowling’s epic tale of the boy wizard comes to an end with the eighth film, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.” The seventh book, which finds Potter and his trusty friends in all-out war against the evil Lord Voldemort for the salvation of the non-magical and wizarding worlds, was split into two films. The decision to split this into two was purely a creative one. By doing two, there are more detail and more time to engage with the characters in the way that they do. It allows the audience time to bring themselves to it. The audience has the time to project their own feelings and engage with the characters. This film sees Harry, Ron and Hermoine tracking down the remaining horcruxes but having very little luck. They return to Hogwarts and gather all the allies they can muster for the final showdown with the lord of darkness, Lord Voldemort.

The first seven movies have grossed around $6.4 billion at the global box office, and the concluding film, due to hit theatres on July 15, is widely tipped to be the biggest picture of 2011, particularly because it is available in 3-D. Included in the trailer is a kiss between Harry and Ginny Weasley and a showdown between the boy wizard and his nemesis Voldemort, in which the latter says: “Harry Potter — the boy who lived come to die.”

Part 2 is set to tie up every loose end from every Harry Potter film, so nothing will go unresolved. So expect some romance, plot twists, deaths and a hell of a lot of action. I don’t know about you but I am going to be at the cinema for the first showing. It’s the end of an era spanning 15 years, from when Harry was living under the stairs in his aunt and uncle’s house right through to the bitter end, when Harry and his friends are the only hope of saving the world from the cruel and unforgiving darkness of Lord Voldemort and his demonic gang of Death Eaters.

Emma Watson, who plays Hermione, said: “The scale of this one feels enormous. Your heart’s going to race — it’s a really very intense ending.” Yates added: “It’s a much more spectacular action picture.”

The world awaits for the greatest movie finale this year. Harry Potter fanatics, prepare to witness as it ends on July 15, 2011. So, don’t miss to Watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 on 3D, IMAX or even on theaters near you.
