Just as expected, Manny Pacquiao chose Timothy Bradley Jr. to fight on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. In an interview, revealed by Michael Koncz, Pacquiao’s Canadian adviser, agreed that the eight-division Filipino world champion to fight with Bradley. Pacquiao vs Bradley is one of the anticipated fight of the year.
Koncz said he expects to be gone also be a problem with Bradley’s camp, the current undefeated (WBO) Junior welterweight titlist.
“I do not assume there will be a problem from the Bradley side. We came to terms with Top Rank on the fight and Manny has approved everything, “said Koncz. “This morning I had a number of conversations with Bob negotiating the June 9 fight and I relayed everything to Manny.”
The 33-year-old Pacquiao left behind because Floyd Mayweather Jr. select Miguel Cotto for his May 5 fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, while Juan Manuel Marquez will probably face Lamont Peterson in July. The winner of that fight will face Manny Pacquiao in November bout.
Pacquiao carried 53-3-2 win-loss-draw record also includes 38 knockouts compared to 28-0-0 (12 KOs) slate of 28-year-old Bradley.
“We are going to be having conversations with Bradley and Further His management early this week and hopefully finalize the deal,” said Top Rank president Todd duBoef. “But the truth is my agreement with Bradley Certain lays out parameters for a Pacquiao fight, so there is a framework already.”
Called ‘Desert Storm’, defeated Bradley by Joel Casamayor of Cuba via eighth-round TKO on the undercard of Pacquiao-Marquez III on November 12.
“Bradley is a young, undefeated fighter who deserves a chance,” said Koncz with Bradley, compelled to seize the WBO welterweight crown wearing Pacquiao.
The Pacquiao vs Bradley Tickets will go on sale Next Friday! February 24 at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT. Ticket prices are capped at $1,200, $900, $600, $400, and $200. Ticket sales at $1,200, $900, $600 and $400 are limited to 10 per person and ticket sales at $200 are limited to two (2) per person.
